Nearly 74% of people in India over the age of 60 get cataracts, which is a blinding disease that becomes debilitating as time progresses. Of the 3 million people that have cataracts, only a small percentage can afford the surgery. Many times cataracts leads to total blindness because of the lack of eye care. When blindness occurs it leads to the most simple tasks becoming extremely  difficult. This includes not having the ability to take care of one's self, earn money, and not be able to interact with their surroundings. However, what many people fail to remember is that a simple cataract surgery can give back someone's sight. Our organization wants to give each and everyone of these people a second shot at their life by giving them back their vision.
